Race this weekend...

Our friend, Nick Flyger, has been itching to race since the three years that he has been here in Malaysia. He laments the lack of local races compared to his native NZ. So what else to do if you can't really find a race? Organize races yourself.

So this Saturday 18th April, Nick will be organizing a race at Putrajaya, specifically at Persiaran Timur. Racing will start at 9am, so if any of you interested in racing, kindly be at the RV point before 8.30am. It will be run on an 18km loop, depending on your category, you could be racing 54km, hehehe...

Depending on numbers and motivation, the race will have 3 categories...

Cat 1: Open - 3 Laps (~54km)
Cat 2: Vets/Women - 2 Laps (~36 km)
Cat 3: Social/Novice - 1 Lap (~18 km)

The fortnight that was...

After the first week of April that puts us off balance on the training sense, most of us have yet to start training regularly (me included). The scoreboard so far for the first two weeks of April stood as follows...

• 3rd Company Dinner (which means rather than burning the calories, we are piling the calories on) - of course no one rides that night
• 4th MEX Express with Am-strong and Megat - a forty kilo ride on MEX
• 5th Pumpkin Ride with Wari and me - BBB-De Palma-Labu-Pekan Salak-BBB ride, an almost 100km ride with Man CioCC group (read ride report here)
  
• 7th Tuesday Nite Ride - no takers...
• 10th Friday Nite Ride - washed out...
• 11th Lepak Santai Ride with Mursh and me - a 50+ kilometers easy ride along the tree lined route to Semenyih.. (ride reports, here)
  
• 12th The Hills of Lenggeng with Wari and me - eighty kilos ride of undulating terrain, inclusive of the Killer 'Mandum'... (read about that ride here)
  

With that, we are left with the Tuesday Nite Ride on the 14th. I hope if the weather holds, we could have our big night team ride. As of today, Mursh and our honorary team member, Lei expressed interest. Anybody else? CH? Albert? Am-strong? Megat? Maybe Mr Team (if the wife doesn't gave birth first, right) Manager?

Kemana kita minggu ni?

Mac 30th - April 5th

This week, I could not recall any ride by isncycling. I do not think Wari ridden with Man CIOCC group, or with some other group last weekend. I heard Am ride on his own. One thing for sure, I haven't been riding these past week, except yesterday in Putrajaya.

The usual Tuesday and Friday night ride is tentatively on, but on Tuesday, most of us could not make it so I rode alone. Yesterday, I decided to ride after work in Putrajaya, which is a good thing, even if its a one hour ride (read here). Tomorrow, on the 3rd of April, its the company dinner, so I do not think that we'll ride Putrajaya other than riding to the dinner table, hehehe...
